Welcome! Here’s my current weekly class schedule.
All classes are available virtually on Zoom or in person at True Self Yoga in Olympia WA.

Not your average yoga class! Therapeutic Yoga & Meditation was created out of the desire for more regular classes that incorporate the full experience of yoga as a mind-body-spirit practice, while also being accessible and trauma-informed.
This class offers simple and powerful practices, therapeutically guided to help soothe the nervous system, ease mental/emotional tension, and strengthen connection to your authentic self.
Class sizes are capped around 15 people, to keep the room feeling spacious and intimate. Each month focuses on a single theme and yoga sequence. This allows us to take our time, to not overwhelm the mind with too much information, and to go deeper into a practice by doing it routinely.
These classes are held with deep reverence for the authentic lineages of yoga, including a wide breadth of practices:
Embodied movement for healthy joints, glands, organs, tissues & spine
Mantra, mudra & pranayama for mental and emotional balance
Bandhas, chakras & subtle body practices for deeper self awareness
Guided relaxation for stress relief & deep rest
Meditation for peace, contentment & connection
Yogic philosophy for living in good relationship with self & others
This class tends to fill up, so pre-registration is highly encouraged.

This 90 minute practice is designed to slowly stretch the body, calm the nervous system, and move toward deep rest and meditation. The first half of class will focus on passive yin postures held on the floor for 3-5 minutes each. Yin yoga can help hydrate and strengthen the body's connective tissues, increase flexibility, decrease chronic pain, open circulation, and cultivate mindfulness and mental resilience. The second half of class will be a "yogic sleep" practice called Yoga Nidra, where students are guided through a long relaxation that brings the body and mind into deep states of rest and rejuvenation.
This class welcomes all bodies, abilities, and backgrounds, whether you are new to yoga or a long-time practitioner. Come as you are; do what you can; and many props and adaptations are available to help make the practice accessible. With her grounding presence and soothing harmonium and chanting, Julia welcomes you to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself.

Yin is characterized by passive poses held for long periods of time (up to 5 mins). Yin poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues-tendons, fascia, and ligaments with the aim of increasing circulation, flexibility and range of motion in the joints. Props are used to support you as you sink into your edge, breathe, and release. Class ends with relaxation and meditation
Practice with me virtually on Zoom!
Can’t make it in person? I stream all my regular classes also on Zoom. I know online yoga videos are plentiful now, but there’s also something invaluable about practicing live together and building relationships with each other. I hope this helps make these practices more accessible from wherever you are! A single yoga class costs around $20 these days, so this monthly virtual membership gives the opportunity to take class at a much more affordable rate. Plus you get to be live with me and the magical harmonium :)
Class links are sent out at the beginning of each month. Please read through the full details at the link below so you understand the terms and conditions for these virtual offerings.
